Hi, my name is Katie Coons. This blog is a recording of my life, thoughts, and everyday musings about those things. I currently am a stay at home and work mom hangs out with two beautiful kiddos while my husband Dave attends Regent College in beautiful British Columbia. We haven't always lived here though. I was born in Northern New York, attended college in Wheaton, IL, and lived and worked in Tianjin, China for 6 years as well. I've been an art teacher, a wilderness instructor, a leadership trainer and currently a kids program coordinator at the Acadia Park family housing on the UBC campus. I love the outdoors and get out when I can. I also love being creative and when I have spare moments you might find me making jewelry, or knitting, or taking photos or most likely, cleaning up kids art messes. I try and read but find my brain cells are limited at the moment (as is my time) so writing via this blog has helped me process my life. Enjoy!
