Married for 2 whole years!

I was soaking in a bathtub Dave had draw for me in the morning when I heard a knock at the door. Thinking it was someone wanting to collect a bill, or maybe just someone knocking on the neighbor's door, I thought I'd stay decent and in the tub-- Then the phone rang. Getting out of a tub (a tiny, but deep, tub) is always a task for an 8 month prego lady, but I put on my robe and did it. Dave was on the phone "you might want to answer your door" he told me. I was hoping it was him, but instead I was met by a chinese lady with 2 dozen roses and lilies in her hand. For me. :) Dave does it again! I don't know how he does, but he does.

It's our 2nd year anniversary today-- 2 years! Wow, how time mystifies me. It's been a blessed 2 years with so many adventures and chances to grow in loving another person. We celebrated in the evening with a nap (first things first! Dave had been at school all day and I had been out buying flowers -- walking miles to get them-- and getting prepared for a bridal shower). And then out to a very nice Japanese restaurant for dinner. It was yummy... so good!! And then, yes this is for real-- Cold Stone ice cream! Imagine that! In Tianjin! In the basement of a mall where there's a new subway stop. This is is something I could have never imagined!!

And the day was like our wedding day-- beautiful outside, sunny, warm, perfect. You can see however that a couple of things have changed since then....

and it's not just the length of Dave's hair!
